Education Secretary Announces Grants for High School Career Programs

Funding will go to schools demonstrating promising work transition strategies.

The Department of Education announced 19 new grant awards to foster career development programs between high schools and local businesses. The Career Connected High Schools grant program is now accepting applications from high schools showing evidence-based strategies to help high school students make a smoother transition from schooling onto stable, in-demand employment paths.

“We can transform the American high school experience and raise the bar for student engagement, achievement, and career-readiness in this country by providing all students with access to dual enrollment classes, work-based learning, industry credentials, and comprehensive career advising,” said Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Cardona to be prudent as he facilitates the Career Connected High Schools grant program.
  • For Department of Education officials as they seek to support high school students entering the workforce.
